After 11 years, N-Dubz are reuniting!

15 years after winning the ‘Best Newcomer’ award at the MOBO Awards, N-Dubz are back.

When I was younger, I used to love N Dubz, so as you can imagine I was overjoyed at the news of their reunion. I remember learning all the words to their songs so I could sing along to them all with my friends at school. Being from North West London ourselves, I guess we feel it only right to be such big fans of the group through our youth, and I guess, now, through our twenties too.

Is it time to change the way we treat mental health issues?

For decades, doctors and nurses have been prescribing anti-depressants, anti-anxiety pills and stimulants to combat the rising numbers of mental health issues and, whilst not particlualry dangerous, they come with a long list of side effects which can interfere with the user's day-to-day life.

Side effects such as nausea, fatigue, insomnia, weight changes, headaches and more are all too common for those who have been prescribed drugs like Prozac or Oxactin.

Why I loved Netflix's Heartstopper

On the 22nd of April 2022, Netflix released its eagerly anticipated series Heartstopper. An adaptation of a graphic novel series of the same name, the story already had millions of fans worldwide, ratcheting up expectations and the pressure for the series to be received well by audiences.

The series follows teen boys Nick and Charlie, who meet at their school, become unlikely friends, and eventually fall in love.

Luxurious holiday destinations are still real places!

When we think of relaxation and peace, we think of sunny holidays in beautiful places around the world. A bleak contrast from the rainy grey England that feels a million miles away from luxurious holiday destinations. However, something I think we are all guilty of not putting at the first of our holiday itineraries is respecting the indigenous populations of these holiday destinations. Places like Hawaii, Bali, Bahamas, Puerto Rico are not just picturesque sunsets and beaches. They don't just exist for holidaying and comfort.

Liverpool's fate rests in Steven Gerrard's hands

To say I support Liverpool FC is an understatement. The passion, the excitement, the dread. Tears of joy, tears of sadness, tears of anger. This is a football club I have been following since I was seven years old and it's because of one man - Steven Gerrard. From posters on my walls to reading his autobiography, I idolised the Liverpool captain as a role model. He is so passionate about Liverpool and his team that it inspired me to start watching their games. I am now nearly 22 and I have still been watching ever since.
