Several of you have asked whether there is any recommended reading you can do over the holidays for next term's politics course.

There are a few of the standard books listed in the course handbook (page 8) which will be particularly useful for those of you who have not done this subject at A level, but I would also suggest that you might look on the politics shelves in the library for some of the 'lighter' offerings - for example there are various political diaries, memoirs, biographies by politicians ranging from Richard Crossman or Tony Benn to Oona King, or even the Alan Clark diaries which are also on DVD. I will (over the  next day or so) put the module guide up on the website and that contains a more detailed reading list of the various topics we will be covering.
